Qld: Schoolgirl the fourth abduction target

BRISBANE, Feb 10 AAP - A 14-year-old girl has escaped an abduction attempt in Brisbane,
police say.

It's the fourth abduction attempt in south-east Queensland since Tuesday.

The girl was walking along a road in McDowell, in Brisbane's north, around 4.20pm (AEST)
yesterday, when she was asked by a man in a black sedan if she wanted a lift.

He continued to follow her along the road after she rejected the offer.

He drove off after she said no for a second time, police said.

The man was described as around 30-years-old, with brown hair and unshaven.

He also had a silver stud in his lower lip.

The latest attempted abduction comes after two schoolgirls were targeted in separate
attacks on the Gold Coast and in Kallangur, north of Brisbane, on Wednesday and an 11-year-old
girl was approached by two men in Noosaville, on the Sunshine Coast, on Tuesday afternoon.
