Vermont officials have unveiled a plan to locate a $20 million high-tech, wood- burning power project in Bennington County.

Public Service Department Commissioner George Sterzinger said his department has been working on the idea for more than a year, and momentum is now building for development of the new technology - in conjunction with the General Electric Co.

GE's Schenectady operation is home to the company's Power Generation Division, which would supervise such a project.
