Man Sought in Attack on Wife, Baby

Police Monday night were searching for a man who allegedlyattacked his wife with a power drill and threw her out a first-floorwindow before fleeing with their 2-month-old daughter who also wasinjured in the attack.

Katherine Smith, 30, of the 700 block of East 51st Street, wasin fair condition at Provident Hospital suffering from cuts andbruises, said a nursing supervisor.
