Walks still not a major part of Cubs' arsenal

ATLANTA -- After their first series of the season, the Cubs werelast among National League offenses with just four walks, and next-to-last in on-base percentage.

That could be a sign of what's not to come this season.

The Cubs finished 14th out of 16 NL teams last season in walks and13th in on-base percentage. This offense could possibly hit enoughthat not compiling a large number of walks might not be a failingthat undercuts the attack. But this is a high-strikeout club as well,which is a poor mix with a minimum of walks.
