Mark Sims tugged on the left arm of his jacket shortly after taking a seat in the visitors' clubhouse at Heritage Park Tuesday night.

While it may have been just to pull down his sleeve, the Reading Phillies pitcher may have also been checking to see if his arm was still there.

Sims, a 21-year-old left-hander, had just gutted out 5 2/3 innings on the mound and lifted his team to a 4-3, 11- inning victory over the Albany-Colonie Yankees in the first game of an Eastern League doubleheader.

The second game didn't get under way until 10:35 p.m. The Phillies, getting a pair of runs in the fourth, led 2-0 in Game 2. …
